Bell150 pump with cutter head dredging in Brest

Trough our French dealer Pajot we rented a BELL150 pump equipped with a cutterhead to a customer in Brest.

Excavator-mounted crane lowering a submersible dredge pump into harbor water from a concrete dock, with a second excavator and floating hose lines visible in the background.
Excavators with long reach booms on a quay operating a submersible dredge pump in the water, with grab attachments and floating hoses visible, coastline in the background.
Long-reach excavator with extended dredging arm submerged into harbor water alongside a concrete quay, with port cranes and industrial buildings in the background.

The pump was mounted on and fed by a Doosan DX 300 LC-5 excavator with 20m long reach boom.

The operation consisted of dredging sandy sediments present on a rockfill embankment on the underside of a quay, between 8 and 18m under the excavator’s tracks.

A 2.3 m extension and an additional 1.3 m extension were custom made to maximize the excavator’s range of action!

We had a work period of 6 weeks.
